Krystal sits in front of a dark blue wall with an antique wood carved piano on her left. She is wearing a black tshirt and has two gold necklaces on, a nose stud, and tortoiseshell glasses. Her dark brown hair frames her face and she smiles gently.

Hey there — I’m Krystal

I am a ui/ux web designer that has been known to occasionally dabble in brand identity design. I’ve been working in a professional creative landscape nearing a decade now, and have found my most fulfilling projects were those which allowed me the space to research and connect with users, clients, and strangers on a deeper level. I welcome any challenge and always look for new ways to learn from each and every project.

I love building and bonding with communities. I have been involved with the local AIGA Upstate NY chapter since 2014; I actively connect with and mentor students from my alma mater; and I co-founded a local Albany chapter of the Hexagon UX organization.

When not designing, I am teaching myself how to safely strip lead paint, or repair cracked plaster walls in my 1890s Folk Victorian home with the help of my husband and three cats. I am lucky enough to live in Troy, NY — a richly historic city that fuels my budding interest in historic preservation and old home restoration. Find me at a flea market or architectural salvage when I’m not behind a monitor.
